The Art & Technology Lab (AT Lab) of the Korea National University of Arts (President Daejin Kim) is collaborating with the Korea Foundation (Chairman Kihwan Kim, KF: Korea Foundation) on the exhibition Transcending Time And Space.

Transcending Time And Spacewill be held at KF XR Gallery in Suha-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul from November 27, 2023 to March 30, 2024.

The Korea National University of Arts and the Korea Foundation for International Exchange have been working closely together on cultural public diplomacy activities through digital content since signing an MOU in 2022.

The exhibition will explore the intense interest in Korean culture in the context of international exchanges, and will feature tangible and media artworks that expand the meaning of communication and exchange across time and space.

In this exhibition, the AT Lab of Korea National University of Arts presents the work of young artists who are taking an industry-university collaboration class as part of the Public Media Project (Instruct Mid-Eum Shin), including their own VR project, <SsitgimVR>. Eunsil Jung's <Pasi> aims to recreate historical scenes of Korean provincial cities depicted in virtual space. Kwanghyun Lee and Sejin Jang use the media wall in the gallery as a "window" between the virtual and the real, between Korea and the world, and experiment with the differences in behavior in virtual and real spaces. The project, in which young artists from various majors capture contemporary issues related to K-culture, such as the environment, language, relationships, mythology, and food culture, in immersive content, will be released sequentially during the exhibition.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Detailed information and schedules, including related exhibitions and programs, will be updated on KF's official website (www.kf.or.kr) and official social media channels (Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
