The Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) Art and Technology Lab (AT Lab) has collaborated with the Korea Foundation (Chairman: Kim Kihwan) to host the public media project exhibition ‘Mirrored Uri’, commemorating which an artist talk was held on February 13 (Tuesday) at the KF XR Gallery.

The artist talk began with an introduction to the project and featured a Q&A session with the exhibition's participating artists, including Shin Mideum, an adjunct professor in multimedia film at K-Arts, who directed the ‘Mirrored Uri’ project. The entire event was recorded and will be available for continued viewing in the KF Global Center Metaverse.

This exhibition is a collaborative project connected to the KF XR Gallery's curated exhibition ‘K=XY: Beyond Time and Space’, produced as part of K-Arts’ industry-academic collaboration course (supervised by Shin Mideum). Students from various majors, including design, film, and multimedia video, have encapsulated contemporary issues related to K-Culture—such as environment, language, relationships, folklore, and food culture—within immersive content in various formats, including VR and interactive videos.

To commemorate this exhibition, the artist talk took place on February 13 (Tuesday) at the KF XR Gallery. Professor Shin Mideum expressed, "It was surprising and rewarding to see students with different majors and interests learn new expressions within one project and showcase their unique colors." Attendees expressed satisfaction, saying, "It was enjoyable to encounter K-Culture reinterpreted by young artists through immersive content."

The AT Lab representative stated, "We will continue to support the production of advanced content for various members of the university through industry-academic collaboration courses." K-Arts AT Lab is a creative research institute aiming to integrate science and technology with cultural arts, industry, and education. Its works, such as the immersive virtual reality projects ‘Scarecrow’ and ‘Rain Fruits’, have been invited to major international film festivals, winning multiple prestigious awards. The lab also leads global trends in immersive media, advanced medical technology, and artificial intelligence content through collaborations with prominent domestic and international companies and research institutes.

The exhibition, which runs until March 30, is free to the public. Detailed information about the associated exhibitions and programs, as well as the event schedule, will continue to be updated on the Korea Foundation's official website (kf.or.kr), official social media (Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and the KF Global Center Metaverse.
