Korea National University of Arts (President Kim Dae-jin, hereinafter referred to as Han Ye-jong) A&T Lab (hereinafter referred to as AT Lab) will hold the "2024 Immersive Day" international conference under the theme of "AI And The Future Of Creativity."

The conference will discuss the presentation of a new vision for content creation using AI and advanced technologies and the current status of related content, and global leaders leading innovation in AI are participating.

On the 14th, the first day of the conference, starting with the presentation of Yoo Yoon-ok, head of the contents-based division of the Korea Creative Content Agency, with the title of the future of AI creation, Kent By, the founder and host of the Voice of VR podcast, will present the presentation under the theme of "The Latest Trends in Immersive Storytelling." This will be followed by the presentation of the "Media Industry and AI" by AI researcher Yves Verquist, who led the "AI in Media" project at the USC Entertainment Technology Center by Eugene Cheng, former co-founder of Oculus Story Studios and founder of Penrose Studios.

On the 15th, the second day of the conference, Mateo AI Studio, which won the grand prize at the AI International Film Festival in Korea for its work "Mateo", director Lee Jin-ho, who won the top prize in the narrative category for his work "Story", and director Jeon Nuri, who was invited to the Ars Electronica Festival for his work "Diamond Dust", will explore new possibilities for content production through AI through award-winning works at the festival. Kim Jong-min, a programmer who has been drawing attention every year with the XR content experience event starting with the "VR Village" at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, will analyze the current status and development potential of AI contents at home and abroad under the theme of "The Present and Future of AI Contents Seen through the Film Festival."

During the conference, AT Lab's Ars entries and various works will be displayed in the lobby of the venue, along with a side event to experience and watch Eugene Chung's work "Arden's Wake" and the results of the Generative AI workshop.

In addition, the "2024 Immersive Day International Conference" will host a Generative AI workshop with Mateo AI Studio and director Lee Jin-ho for students at Korea National University of Arts from November 12 to 13, giving students the opportunity to experience the AI film production process firsthand and gain creative experience.  

In the future, AT Lab will continue research and creation related to various art technologies and explore various possibilities for exchange.
